For Jennifer DiCostanzo, Community Counts
While DiCostanzo focuses most of her energy on real estate, she also makes giving back to the community a priority. With her previous agency she created “Light up Warwick.” This holiday light contest in 2013 and 2014 helped raised donations for the Warwick Valley Humane Society. Upon becoming a member of the Green Team she coordinated “Green Team Go Green for Vets” in November 2015.
Because Jen’s belief’s echo the firm’s policy of contributing to local charities as a way of giving back to the community, the Green Team is more than happy to support these efforts. In 2016, she coordinated “Light up the Holidays.” This fundraiser benefited Warwick Valley Humane Society in that year, and in 2017 raised funds for Warwick Playground Dreams and the Vernon Township Senior Center. And each year she organizes a company-wide holiday basket drive for a family in need through the food bank.
In 2018 Light Up the Holidays was transformed into Team Up for Hope, an initiative to raise awareness of mental illness and raise funds for NAMI Orange County and NAMI Sussex County. NAMI is a national grassroots organization dedicated to making a difference in the lives of those in our communities living with mental illness. Jen has been voted Citizen of the Year by her colleagues for her continuing efforts on behalf of several local charities for 2016, 2017 and 2018.
DiCostanzo has also organized and co-chaired local fundraisers and remains involved with ongoing church events and youth activities.
Originally from Staten Island, NY, DiCostanzo attended Drake Business School and worked as a Police Administrative Aide at the 1st Pct in lower Manhattan for NYPD.
